Supplies you may need for printing

If you’re not setup to print many worksheets either at home or at work, we’ve compiled a list of the supplies you’ll generally need. The below links will take you to Amazon, where you can see our recommended product. (Disclaimer: we will earn a small commission if you do purchase through one of our links).

Laser Printer

A good quality laser printer is recommended to print the worksheets. We have used Brother and HP brands of printers for many years, and found them to be very durable, long lasting, and high quality.

If you’re printing only in black and white, I would recommend the Brother Compact Monochrome Laser Printer, it’s very well priced and reliable. If you’re thinking of printing color signs, then the HP DeskJet Plus 4155 is a good choice.

Cardstock

You may want to invest in some good quality cardstock to print the worksheets on. The Neenah Premium Cardstock comes in US Letter size with 176 gsm thickness, perfect for durable printouts. This owuld be useful if you want to laminate the worksheets and use erasable markers on them.

You may of course also print the signs on less thick cardstock, or use regular printer paper, such as Hammerhill Premium Inkjet & Laser paper.

Thermal Laminator

To ensure that printed worksheets last longer, I recommend a laminator. The Scotch Thermal Laminator features 2 rollers for a professional finish and is very easy and inexpensive to use.

Laminating Pouches

You will also need thermal laminating pouches. I recommend sticking with the Scotch brand and choosing these Scotch Thermal Laminating Pouches that come in packs of 100.

Adhesive Sheets

You may of course prefer not to thermal laminate the worksheets. In that case, it is perfectly fine to enclose them in self sealing sheets, such as these Self-Adhesive Laminating Sheets.

Adhesive and Tape

To affix any printables, such as Math Tables, or ABC Printables, to a wall or other surface, you may consider using double sided tape, such as this Scotch Double Sided Tape. You can also fix the printables to the wall with Loctite Mounting Putty or Blu-Tack.

Frames

In some situations, you may want to mount the worksheet inside a frame, either to display the worksheet on a table or counter, or mount on the wall in your child’s room to mark their progress or achievements. There are thin border black frames and thick border black frames that may be suitable to your needs. In this case you’ll need some picture mounting hooks.
